A Talk with John Counseling and Consulting, PLLC
Therapy for Individuals, Couples and Families
Charlotte, North Carolina
Most of us spend more time at work than at home, therefore the workplace should be an environment where we feel safe and comfortable. However, because work is where a bunch of different personalities and communication styles things don’t always go smoothly.
Factors of everyday life can put an abundant strain on a relationship. Severe stressors may include resentment, infidelity, intimacy issues, lack of trust, and miscommunication.
Intimacy & Relationship Issues
Intimacy problems widely occur behind a variety of closed doors. Conflicts may include a loss of harmony between the sheets, a lack of sexual desire between either partners or failure in communication.
Is your family going through a rough patch? Whether the issue itself, stems from a lack of understanding between those involved, sibling conflict, or developmental disagreements with a child, a difficult situation can have an effect on the entire family.
I work primarily from a person-centered, solution orientation while also drawing techniques from cognitive-behavioral approaches, motivational interviewing and other theoretical orientations to meet the specific needs of my clients. I view counseling as a collaborative process in which I provide clients with a space to be open and honest while helping them to identify goals for change.
My name is John W. Goodwin III., I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor specializing in individual, couples and family therapy, and maintains a private practice in Charlotte, North Carolina.
It takes a genuinely strong person to consider bearing their innermost feelings and concerns to anyone. That is why I consider therapy and or counseling as an in-depth conversation to the heart and soul of the matter. So often individuals walk through life needing to be heard beyond the surface level. I offer you that opportunity.
I believe that we possess the answers to our life concerns and issues, they are just buried underneath a world of distractions, being ignored and often time discarded. However, if we are given a true listening ear and we are asking the right questions; we can rediscover that path of life that will allow us to reach that destination we so deeply wish to achieve.
It all starts by reaching out just one more time, maybe this conversation will be different, maybe just maybe, the question to the answers I hold within, maybe asked and ignite my fire to being a great me, having a stronger relationship, repairing a damage marriage and truly make a positive difference in my life. Perhaps it is time for me to have “A Talk with John”
