His journey, rooted in his Charlotte, North Carolina upbringing, has been marked by a commitment to understanding and nurturing the human spirit. His extensive training and heartfelt commitment enable him to walk alongside individuals, couples (including premarital), families, and teens navigating anxieties, depression, grief, loss, LGBTQIA+/sexuality concerns, men’s issues, and relationship challenges. Reverend Burton thoughtfully integrates spiritual direction and prayer with evidence-based counseling modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. He also brings valuable experience in facilitating growth through action-reflection, peer support, and experiential learning.
